A Note From The Author

An "About Me" section.  I find that although it's pretty easy for me to express my characters and the plots for my books on paper, it is incredibly difficult for me to accurately describe myself.  So, bear with me as I do my best.  My name is Phillip J. Adamczyk, and I am the author of The Chronicles of Terra fantasy series.

I started writing when I was in elementary school (although the works that I produced then were much more outlandish than my current works).  One work that I remember featured a pencil sharpener, brought to life by an evil spell.  Another featured a girl who transformed into a three-eyed creature as a result of a chemical spill.

So as you can tell, my imagination started off strong when I was young.  That makes me sound incredibly old.  But I'm really not that old at all.

I'm twenty years old, and I currently attend college at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse as a secondary English education major with a minor in secondary history education.  My love of helping others and love of teaching led me on the path to becoming a teacher.

I actually wasn't sure what I wanted to be until I started college.  I had changed my mind several times, not really finding a certain area that suited me.  I had originally intended to become a veterinarian, due to my love of animals.  But I quickly changed my mind when I decided I couldn't handle putting sick animals to sleep.  I then decided I wanted to be a pharmacist, because I wanted to find cures for diseases and help people to become healthier.  This was hindered, however, by my unwillingness to spend eight to ten years in college with money I already didn't have.

It was then that I was reintroduced to the idea of becoming a teacher.  I had never really thought about it before, but when I took some time and sat down, something clicked.  Being a teacher is something I've always wanted to do.  It's something I have always been able to envision myself partaking in.  And what better than teaching a subject I love?

So that's where I currently stand.  Now, back to more about who I am.  I remember reading books and looking at the "About the Author" page, saying, "Wow.  I wish I could meet someone like that!"  If you're the kind of person who, like me, has a love of reading/writing and always enjoys meeting new people, we really need to chat.  I'm completely serious.  Some authors may not have the time to chat, but I'm always happy to talk.  Feel free to send me an email at crystalman177777@yahoo.com !
